Default O2 Sensor Location

I am receiving DTC P0133 which states I have a "02 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (bank 1 sensor 1).

Does this mean the appropriate 02 sensor needs replaced? Where is bank 1 (physical location on engine)?

Thanks in advance.

Bank #1 is the one closest to the firewall. The O2 sensor that is bad would be the one closest to the engine. I think it is located underneath by the crankshaft pulley on the pipe by the oil pan.

I replaced bank 2 sensor 1. That seemed to solve the problem. Then a few months ago I received error for bank 1 sensor 1. I replaced that sensor but the error code is still showing up. What else can I do? Any suggestions?

[*] The oxygen sensor may be faulty
[*] The wiring to the sensor may be broken / frayed
[*] There may be an exhaust leak

Any new exaust work?
