OBD II codes help
To any an all help,
I went to start my SHO and when I did my instrument cluster flashed and then it seemed like a battery short or something then it came on and I noticed on my dash that it flashed a warning that said AWD OFF and check brake system...Hooked up the ol' scanner and received codes for the ABS,PSCM DDM and DDS . Codes are listed below.
U0131:00-08
which is lost connection with Power Steering Control Module A and it said the Module was Anti-Lock Braking System
Then I received code
PSCM U0121:00-08
which is Lost Communication with Anti-Lock Brake System Control Module A
It also says
SWRS: 0 1/min - Steering Wheel Rotation Speed
SW_Angle: 0.00 ° - Steering Wheel Angle
DSM: B2312-20, B2316-20
DDM B2324-20
Not sure what is going on but this car seems to be flaky after only owning it for a few days.
Any and all help is appreciated

In order for electrical and electronic equipment to operate as designed sufficient power has to be available.
There are at least 2 parts to this, power and ground.
Since the system seems to be getting the power, one of the easiest things to do is to check, remove clean and reinstall ground connections , which by the way can look entirely innocent, but not be making contact at all. SO, since this vehicle is new to you , suggest you remove whatever ground connections you see , clean them with a piece of sandpaper ,both sides, and reinstall them, starting with the battery negative cable where it is connected to the vehicle.
Once that is done , you can follow up and see what problems the vehicle still may have and tackle them one at a time. All circuits have to have a good ground commonly called signal return, without which the circuit cannot function.
Lets see what you get after you do some of that maintenance the previous owner probably overlooked.
A side note: when you remove the ground cable from the vehicle, it will cause the adaptive memory to be lost. That would include radio stations, memory seat, mirrors if applicable. When done cleaning and reconnecting , start the engine , but do not touch the accelerator pedal, for a minute or two, this will allow it to set the programmed idle speed, and then take it for a short ride for it to set the transmission shift points according to how you drive. Let us know how you make out with this, thanks. Happy New Year !
