Service Advancetrac
Hello! This is about the service advancetrac warning on my dash.
The truck is a 2012 Ford F-150 XLT V8 5.0L flex fuel.
I bought the truck with the advancetrac light and replaced all ABS sensors, but it did not fix the problem. There are no codes as well.
Whenever the truck is on, it will display the warning message with the wrench icon and traction control symbol on the dash. I have read that others with this problem have no use of their signals or the ABS light is on too, but I have no symptoms. It is only the message on the dash and light.
Has anyone had this issue and went to a dealer as a last resort. Was it fixed? If not, what did you do to fix it. Any replies are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Some systems use what is called a bias voltage to confirm the system is capable of checking itself out. This does not always throw a code , but will render the system inoperative. A capable scan tool and knowledge of how the system operates is required and you may need to have an experienced shop check the system out for you.

You should check for codes again using a full capacity scan tool. Basic scan tools do not pick up all codes, using IDS can access all codes/
Out if curiosity does your steering feel hard sometimes? Does your rack make a grinding noise when turned to full lock? We have seen some problems with the steering racks going out and usually the traction control light does come on first.

Thank you for replying! The scanner I have reads codes for ABS/SRS/engine, more than a basic one, but not as advance as the scan tool you mean I think. The steering wheel is in absolutely great working order, no issues at all. The truck runs good only has the warning lights on. So I guess my only option is taking it to get diagnosed or have the module reset.
