Default 1994 v-8 Broken front strut mount bolt

My Grandfather has given me his 1994 Lx v-8 with 8o,ooo miles. I have been driving the car for a week but when I looked under the hood today I saw that the Driver's side strut mount had a broken bolt. It the on furthest to the front of the car. I then look on the Passenger's side that one of the bolts had 2 nuts on it. I can only guess that it has been to a repair shop and they replaced the Struts and broke a bolt (and yes I can tell it is broken)
There is not enough tread for me to put the nut back on. Shoul I care about it at all?

the problem with replacing the bolt is that it is round on the under side. All the bolts are round so I guess that they are welded. One person said that I might be able to use a punch to get it out then put a normal bolt back in

you need to run to the junk yard and grab a strut. You can purchase the top strut plate from a autozone. They are round because they are pressed in. Its not a expensive fix. Just a pain because you are going to have to remove the strut.

this exact thing happend to me and its from lazy mechanics using a impact gun instead of a rachet to tighten a tiny bolt on a tiny stud- result wayyyy too much torque snaps the stud off the strut mount. You should use a punch to get the broken stud out and u can use a similar size bolt with a nut....dont bother getting a new strut mount cause u need a spring compressor and its totally not worth the trouble.

NBD, but you can punch it out and put a 5/16's thru bolt in it if you really want it there. And for the previous comment, it is not a lazy mechanics fault, it is simply a dumb mechanics fault. Be careful who you pick on, those who know what they are doing with air tools are very skilled at our jobs, and like the use of these tools to maximize their paychecks.
