Ford MAP sensors generate a frequency that the computer monitors. If it is malfunctioning or out of range performance is affected.

Usually when performance improves when we unplug that sensor it is because the ECM substitutes a fixed figure so the vehicle can be driven to a repair facility..

You would need a meter that reads frequency and most folks don't have one . Those sensors are not that expensive, but it would be prudent on your part to have a shop check and verify that it is malfunctioning.

Tell us how you decided to take the MAP sensor out of the system.

it was already unplugged when I got the car. my grandfather bought it at a auction and ended up not wanting to deal with it and gave it to me. I had to replace the drivers door hing the headlights the hood and the panel they were mounted to also the exhaust donuts.
