Default Fuel filter

ok, so my car died on me last week and it wouldnt start up again. im pretty sure it is either the fuel filter or the pump. where is the filter and the pump. ive had people tell me various places and i cant find it. thanks for the help

well first off..can you hear your fuel pump turning on when you turn your key to the run position?? if you cant hear it turn on it is most likely the fuel pump relay which is located on the drivers side in the trunk. im not quite sure on where thefilter is but i will go look on my t-bird.
