Ford Thunderbird Starting in the 1950s, this was a classic American sports cars, from the compact original of the 1950s, to the muscular hard top coupes of the 1980s and 1990s to the retro look of the 2003 model year, this car is, and always will be, an American classic.

i'll try to be short and to the point...my kar is 1990 tbird s/c. i have had it since 1992.
just rebuilt the engine and put on a new blower...and some other interior and under hood stuff..i love my kar..
the problem...more so in the hot ohio summers...if i don't put a sun-shade over the dash while parked
outside the following occurs...while driving, the speedo either does not registar until i get it cool inside
or, and this will wake you up...the speed drops to zero and the power steering goes to "full boost" as
when parking...this is really inconvient while in a fast sweeper and you get more steering input than
you like...rear end will say hello when it passes you!!
i'm guessing the vss module is kaput...the speedo broke last year and it was replaced...and the problem
continues...currently 185,000 on odometer..
any ideas/suggestions will be appreciated...
thanks
