i just bought an 01 excursion w/ a 7.3L/auto it runs fine in normal weather but when it rains it shuts down. i founds the dea replaced the batteries and the thing threw codes like crazy. since then i tightened the batt. terms replaced cam pos. sensor, and cleaning up corrosion out the #@! I own a 00' 250 with a 7.3L and never had this much problems. codes o found were 344, 603, 1670 and the exhuast bp valve not working. most of the codes went away after tightening the batts. but sometimes it still stalls out while driving. if anyone knows somthing in relation to this let me know.
