05 Expedition - no rear brake or turn signals
2005 Expedition rear turn signals and brake lights stopped working. First one and then several weeks later, the other.
The high-mount brake light works and when we "plug in" a trailer, the turn signals and brake lights work on the trailer. (I have heard that pulling a trailer can sometimes mess up your electrical. We pull a boat every weekend in the summer.)
I have replaced the bulbs and fuses and today I replaced the Multi-function switch to no avail.
The front blinkers flash rapdly and the hazards work in the front only.
Please help before I roll this truck into the river!
Thank you for any assistance!

Yes - the rear park lamps are on (with headlights on). Also, the reverse lights work.
Thanks for your inquiry, I am hoping you are onto something.
I can tear apart a 1965 Merc1000 outboard, but I'm lost on this electrical stuff.

I was thinking 'possibly' ground/s.. The rear lamps have individual grounds for R&L behind each side rear quarter trim panels.. Doubt that you would have lost seperate grounds only days apart.. Has to be, or sounds more like a power distribution issue.. Do you have a volt/ohm meter? to do some circuit checks..
