05 PSD lower radiator hose clamp failure
My 05 powerstroke diesel lower radiator hose clamp failed. Doing some Google searching, I found this site, but can't quite figure out how to do an actual site search to see if anyone else has posted this problem.
What I'm wondering, is this a Ford TSB; if so, will Ford fix it for free? I've looked in the TSB but there's dozens of bullitins relating to the 6.0 cooling system, but the TSBs don't go into a lot of specifics on what is / was covered.
Thanks in advance

The spring clamps failures were an 'issue' for the earlier build 6.0s and would snap in two, sometimes leaving a half portion of the clamp, orwould be completely gone.. The later builds didn't see a lot of clamp failures (spring clamps have been around a long time) but always a failure possibility, and was more of a batch problem I believe.. The repair was to replace the broken clamp with a worm drive radiator clamp (so not to have to drain down the coolant, or create more labor time) and/or to sometimes double clamp the hoses depending on the clamp/hose location, like the upper most clamp on the lower hose.. Most techs would cut the old clamp off, but sometimes they were left with the addition of the worm clamp... There was a service message, but I don't see it listed...
Hi, I agree with Hayapower. And I've seen not only Power stroke with that problem. If there is a TSB or SSM (Special Service Message) it will only be covered by your base warranty, this is not like a recall.
