My 2014 Escape does not shift at all. The code reads as P0706, P0707, and P0712. It also show the shift on dash as when shift to reverse it shows reverse or when shift to drive it shows drive. But there is no movement, just rev and nothing moving.Does the Transmission range sensor contribute to this issue or is this an internal transmission issue?

 

The codes seem to tell us the circuit is low.That could mean the power to the trans MLPS(neutral safety sw) is either not receiving full power to direct it or it just is not coming out of the sw or a poor connection is interrupting the path to the inside of the trans.

Many times if you check the plugs going to the trans, you might see some corrosion inside the plug. Check for that.

 

Based on the codes and symptoms, it's likely a transmission range sensor (TRS) issue causing the lack of shifting. The TRS helps the transmission know which gear to engage. Get it checked by a mechanic for confirmation.
