Default 2007 lincoln town car

I have a 07 town car neither of the door lock switch work. I probed the plugs and have power to both but doors dont lock or unlock. also I tried to reprogram the remote to see if that would do it and that does not work.

what could it be.

I believe your vehicle has a front electronic module and a rear electronic module. They both work body control functions. When a signal is sent to the front module , which controls the front door locks the FEM gets the signal then sends a message to the respective front door lock. The best way to diagnose this problem is with a scan tool that can communicate with the modules. Some savvy locksmiths might have the required scan tool to do this. Worth checking it out.

The FEM is usually located under the dash on the driver's side, while the REM usually is located in the trunk area. It would be best if this were done by someone with the correct scan tool so the module can be reconfigured correctly, if replaced,or it may not work.
