Tonight the CEL came on in my Taurus and the engine started missing a little especially around 40 mph. I checked the gas cap and it may have been loose but I couldn't really tell. I did fill it up with gas this morning and it may have been driven 10 miles when it started this. Please help I dont have much money.

 

I'm not sure now after I drove this thing this morning if it isnt the transmission just not shifting correctly. It seemed like when it went into OD it may have been just going in and out of OD instead of missing. I will try to get the codes today from auto zone and post them later.

 

Ok I got the codes read and it showed misfires and two dead coils. Replaced coil pack and it seems to be working great again.
