Front Seat Cushion Cover
RemovalNOTE: Driver seat shown, passenger seat similar.
NOTE: Seat backrest blower motor without snorkel shown, unless otherwise called out.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
Passenger seat
- Remove the OCS.
Refer to: Occupant Classification System (OCS) Sensor - Vehicles With: Multi-Contour Seats (501-20B Supplemental Restraint System, Removal and Installation).

- Remove the front seat.
- Remove the side shield screws.

- Remove the clip and the recline handle.
- If equipped.
Remove the clip and the lumbar handle.
Remove the side shield.- Firmly grasp the side shield, lift up and out, separating the side shield from the recliner bracket.
- From underneath, squeeze the retainers together and pull out on the side shield.
- Slide the side shield forward.
- If equipped.
Remove the clip and the recline handle.
Remove the side shield.- Lift up on the rear of the side shield and pull outward.
- Slide the side shield forward.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the elastic strap from the seatbelt buckle.
Position the backrest wire harness(es) aside.- Release the electrical connector retainer(s) from the seat track.
- Release the locking tab(s) and disconnect the backrest wire harness electrical connector(s).

- Detach the backrest cover straps.
- If equipped.
Route the backrest cover straps through the backrest blower motor snorkel.
- Position the backrest cover upward.
- Detach the cushion cover J-clips and position the cushion cover upward.
- Detach the backrest cover lower J-clips.

- NOTE: To install, gradually alternate the left and right seat backrest cover zippers to prevent damage to the seat backrest cover.
Unzip the backrest cover zipper on each side.
- Position the backrest cover up.
- NOTE: To install, gradually alternate the left and right seat backrest cover zippers to prevent damage to the seat backrest cover.
- NOTE: For installation of a backrest blower motor with snorkel, note the routing of the snorkel.
Detach the hook-and-loop retainer and position the backrest cover strap aside.
- Detach the multi-contour seat cushion hose retainer.
- Release the locking tab and disconnect the hose coupling assembly (orange) from the SCMG.
- Feed the multi-contour seat hose assembly out through the backrest cover opening.
- If equipped.
Disconnect the cushion heater mat electrical connector.
- Detach the J-clip and position aside.
- Release the J-clips and position the front of the seat cushion cover and foam assembly slightly upwards.
- If equipped.
Detach the cushion heater mat J-clip.
- Remove the seat cushion cover and foam as an assembly.
- NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Invert the rear portion of the seat cushion cover.
- NOTICE: Use care when separating the seat cushion from the hook-and-arrow or the hook may be torn from the seat cushion foam pad.
NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Remove the seat cushion cover.- Invert the seat cushion cover.
- Release the hook-and-arrows.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
