I have a 2013 ford f150 that started getting the startup rattle at first. Then a couple of months past by and now the ticking has got worst and does it constantly. I broke down the engine and changed out the timing chain and tensioner. Upon startup the tick is still there. So, I now have it disassembled again and I have taken the phases off of the engine. Is there anyway to test the cam phasers before I go and pay Ford 500 dollars for parts that may not be bad?
