am looking for an old Econoline, for light duty city/hwy daily driver; undecided as to what engine to get.

never owned one, but leaning toward a 300-6 for its simplicity but unsure iftheyhave enough accellerationpull 6000lb safely onto fwy entrance ramps.

I can live with 60 mph if that's all a 6 is geared for, but probably the 302 would give better accelleration plusbetter or equal gas mileage than a 300at the same mph???

Also, I want an old school carb w/o any efi stuff I hate fixing; what is the last yr for no-efi/tbi??
