Question AC vents ... To lube or, not to lube ??

Kind of an off-the-wall situation on our '07 Freestyle Limited ...
The adjuster slides on the dash heat/AC vents are hard to move back and forth freely. They move but, not easy enough while driving that the whole vent moves. I thought about like, PB Blaster or WD40 but, don't want to smell it on a daily basis. My next thought was to give them a small shot of silicone spray but, am concerned with the chemical reaction with the plastic. Or would it be more appropriate to just rub a bit of White Lithium grease on the affected areas?

I know NAPA sells spray cans of lubricating grease. Can you check if the "fragrance" is offensive to you ?

There are other products you can try, , what about spray SPAM which is used in food prep ?

Try WD-40 Dry Lube, no odor, no mess, no residue.
