Default Changed throtte body car wont drive forward now

I have a 2009 mercury milan having throttle body issues. It was going in limp home mode. Now that i replaced it, it wont go into drive.

You might try removing the negative battery cable from the negative post and holding the removed terminal against the positive cable end for a few minutes to allow the memory to go away. Try that and see if that takes care of it. Also, make sure you didn't overlook reconnecting everything you removed.

i did that and it still wont do anything. Its weird because it had the throttle body problem so i changed it and it drove home. The next day it doesn't want to move forward. Could it be the maf sensor?

Without being there , I do not believe the MAF sensor alone would cause a no trans engagement problem. If you rechecked all your work for any connections that may have opened, the next thing would be to check all the fuses. What about the plugs going to the trans? Will it move in reverse? Are all forward ranges inoperative? Is the shift lever moving everything as it should?

What we are trying to cover is the area where you worked when replacing the throttle body. If all is good, there could be a problem within the trans itself since reverse is operative. Don't like to speculate, but could be a problem with fwd clutch in trans.

The only reason i dont think its the tranny is because it went into limp home mode, i changed the throttle body, it wouldn't drive forward and then it started driving normal and the wrench light went out. But the next day its back to no forward. But no mil or codes thrown

Without going off the deep end, do you think there could be a similar problem with the replacement throttle body? It won't be the first time. Where did you get the replacement? After being burned so many times with aftermarket parts I have learned to suspect everything.
