Explorer only starts with remote, not key

Explorer only starts with remote, not key
Hi Everyone
Anyone know why my Ford Explorer 2011 will now only start with the remote and not key? Once I start it with the remote and put the key in to run position it will drive.
No crank with key but all ights and dash work. No errors.
This happened right after the kids were cleaning the car with the dorrs open for about 25 minutes and set off the alarm a few times.
Any advie would be much appreciated!
