My 97 F250 brake light on the dash keeps coming on while I am driving and shuts off my cruise control. I checked to make sure the parking brake was off and my master cylinder was full of fluid but it keeps coming back on. Are these the only 2 things that activate the light? I checked the float in the MC by pushing it up and down with no results. Should I try jumping the float switch and the pedal switch? The float swith has 3 wires so I am uncertain which 2 to jump. MY 94 HAS A SWITCH ON THE MASTER CYLINDER THAT LOOKS LIKE A BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH WHICH IS PART OF THE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK THERE ALSO MY SPEEDOMETER STARTED FLUCTUATING AND THAT MESSED MY CRUISE UP PROBLEM THERE WAS REAR END GOING OUT AND SPEED SENSOR RING IN REAR END WAS BAD ALSO SPEED SENSOR THAT SCREWS IN TOP OF REAR END COULD BE GOING OUT I WOULD PULL IT OUT AND CHECK IF IT HAD ANY METAL SHAVINGS ON IT
