We have a 1999 Ford Windstar and the speedometer and tachometer have been working off and on. We called the garage and they said that the "Gauge Head" might be bad. The also said that if it needs replaced, that a new one could cost $900.00. Is this true??

 

You can buy a used instrument cluster on e-bay for $50.00 to $70.00 and replace yours. Buy a manual at Auto Zone , shows how to change cluster. Also a speedometer shop in St. Louis will fix cluster for $375.00
