My 2006 Lincoln Navigator liftgate is hard to open, after many tries, it will open, when I tried to examine the problem, I pushed the latch in. Unlike other regular car that I could pull the handle and then push the latch to open position, This truck it is two stage latch.I could release the second stage but I could not release the first stage. I did spray WD 40 trying to loose up the part, but I did hear the latch hit a metal stop. Could anyone share how to release this latch?
