Default MOT Test Questions – Need Help!

Hi everyone,
I’ve got my MOT test coming up soon, and I’m a bit nervous because I’m not sure what to expect. I’ve heard mixed things about what they check and what can cause a fail. For example, if my headlights are a bit foggy, will that be a problem?

Also, my handbrake feels a bit loose—is that something they’ll fail me for?

I’m also curious about the emissions test—what happens if my car’s exhaust is a bit smoky?

If anyone’s been through this recently or knows the ins and outs, I’d appreciate your advice!

Most times an inspection involves safety items..

If the owner is not aware of present or potential safety or emission related problems a good safety inspection will bring them out..

If your vehicle is maintained well, there should be no problem with any safety inspection.. Good maintenance will save a lot of $$ and problems.
Good maintenance consists of more than regular oil changes. If you can check the owner's manual ,there are regular routine items that are recommended to be checked.
