Default Mustang Breaks

I have a 2009 Mustang and when I hit the breaks hard they don't want to release. I have to step on the gas peddle to get the car to move. Then the breaks go back to normal. If I use the breaks normally they work just fine. Anybody have an idea why the remain on after hard breaking?

Do you know if the brakes that won't release are all 4 wheels or maybe only front or rear?

I don't know which is on your vehicle without looking, but there is a metering valve or combination proportioning valve located just under the master cyl.which controls pressure applied to the front brake calipers and rear brake shoes if it has drum brakes on the rear.. The metering valve is there to prevent front wheel lock up before the rear brakes get applied. I suspect there is a malfunctioning metering valve your the vehicle.
