I need to know where the fuel pump driver module gets its power from?? Any troubleshooting advice would be greatly appreciated. I am having fuel system problems and this is about the last thing that is left for me to look at. it doesn't seem to be getting power
when I tested the connection

Check if there is power coming to the inertia sw and power going out to the driver module.

 

There is no power to the inertia switch. The fuel pump driver module has a brown wire with white stripe and it has a very dim light when the power is on and that is the only wire that has power while checking with test light.

 

There is a fuel rail pressure sensor that tells the PCM if there is the correct pressure for demand. If not, the pcm gets a signal from the fuel pump driver module and adjusts driver module power on time according to demand. It sends a pulse width modulated signal to the driver module.Depending on demand , if no demand no or very little power is sent to the driver module.

Your best bet is to get hold of a good manual and learn just how this system works. Some folks have supplied constant power to the FPDM just to get home.

 

The inertia switch is upstream from the FPDM. If you have no power to the inertia switch, you need to start looking upstream towards the fuel pump relay and the wiring/connectors in between.
