Default Positive drive

2018 Ford F-150 STS when it’s in four wheel drive I can pull out the button then it’s also in positive traction. My question is when it’s in two wheel drive pulling the button out for positive traction does it do anything? Is positive traction engaged in two wheel drive. I can’t find anything in the book.
Thanks for any replies.

Pulling the switch out activates the rear axle locker.
If you engage the rear locker then drive in a circle you will hear the tire skipping since both tires are trying to rotate at the same rate but cannot since your driving in a circle.
Do not do this for any extended amount of time or you damage the rear end.
