PVC replace
I have a 2005 f350 with a 5.4 engine. Am looking for the location of the pcv, I think I found it but want to be certain. Would also like to know about the procedure of replacing it also thank you
The PCV valve on your truck is integrated into the valve cover so you can only remove the hose/tube and bench test them for leaks.
If you know for sure it must be replaced you replace the driver side valve cover. If you wanted to replace the valve for the peace of mind, you should remove just the hose and in addition to checking for leaks, check and see if inside the hose is completely dry or quite dry with little oily residue or wet with full of gunk, ideally you want dry with little oily residue. If it's too dry check around your valve cover and see if any leak.
If you came across Motorcraft EV269 as the pcv valve replacement, everywhere has the wrong vehicle compatibility, it doesn't fit your truck.

Don't forget to warm up the engine first and remove the hose from the valve cover side first then you can test the suction from the hose, then remove the hose entirely and bench test with water or air compressor with low psi like 20.
