question about first oil change for new ford fiesta
Hi to everyone. I don't see the Fiesta listed but I live in France, Europe (but I'm not French) and I've just bought a new Ford Fiesta. The salesman said the first oil change was at 5000km, then some time later he said it was at 20,000km. The handbook says it is at 15,000km. I don't want to get this wrong, so can anybody tell me WHEN is the first oil change please??

here is the link to the Fiesta area. It is in the PAST CARS area because here in the U.S. they discountinued that model.

If uncertian go with what the book says. I wouldn't wait until 20,000km. Because then they could come around and say you waited to long if a warranty issue should happen.
In my experience, salespersons usually don't know what they are talking about. That is why when I go bnuy a car, I don't listen to what they say when they are talking small talk. I just pay attention to what deal they are going to give me. I can be an *** sometimes too, because if I know what model I am looking at, I research the car, then ask questions and see what they say .
I just looked up the conversion. 5000km(approx 3000miles)or 3 months, is what was done on the older vehicles. With newer tolerances and oils, they don't need to be done every 5000km. My mustang is listed as 5000miles or 6 months(approx 8000km). I even took it in to get serviced, at 3000 miles, only 4 months, and they wouldn't service it. They said come back in 2 months or close to 5000 miles.
