Hello All

I have a 2000 f250 7.3. I've had nothing but problems with this truck. glow plug mostly, At the moment i think i have an electrical problem, sometimes my truck all at once will run like crap, glow plugs wont turn on, engine hesitates off line, dies at a stop, over drive light flashes, engine isn't smooth, stereo shuts of and on. Then all the sudden runs perfect!

What you guys think the problem is? a sensor?

 

it could be a fuze i would check that first i had some of the issues with 1995 5.8 gas. yes im aware that you have a diesiel but it could be something as small as a fuze i would check worst that could happen is im wrong and you just try something else im not a mechanic just a kid so im just trowing out an issue i had with mine. hope that helped if not sorry

 

I would suggest looking over the under hood wiring .... or, for that matter, any wires close to the exhaust! Sounds like a bare wire grounding out. Perhaps wires resting on a manifold or exhaust pipe that ground out when the engine gets warmed up.
