Default vacuum motor arm not connected

I have a 2005 Taurus with the cylinder vacuum motor under the dash for the defrost door that has come unhooked from its arm to the door to door crank arm that it should be hooked to in order to make the vacuum motor arm turn to make the instrument panel vent dial work when the vent dial is switched. I tried to put the tab through the hole on the vacuum motor arm, but it doesn't want to stay connected. The motor works but I don't know how to put it back on the arm and keep it connected to it, any ideas?
