1990 F250 super duty front 4WD spindle socket.
I need help finding the special socket needed for the front spindle. I need to remove it cause I’m replacing the upper and lower ball joints. I’ve bought 3 sockets they don’t have a size but it does have 4 square piece little ***** on the end of the socket that goes into the nut to remove it. Seems all the sockets I buy are all the same. I did measure it and it’s 2 3/8 or 2 7/16. Please help. Trucks been down for 3 days looking for the socket and I’m in need of some help. Thank you.
Since you didn't provide the engine size (check my signature), I randomly picked 5.8L
Check the service.pdf below you will see you need whole bunch of tools, just to name two:
T74P-4635-C (U-Joint Tool)
T92T-3010-A (Ball Joint Remover)
You can google those for cheaper alternative. freedomracing.com sells them, a couple hundred apiece.

Where you went for the tool(s) has a lot to do with getting the right tool.
If you went to those places that sell curb feelers and room smellers, you need to go to a real auto supply place, ie NAPA and if they don't have it , can get it for you..
