Default 1997 f150 trailer wiring

I bought a 1997 f150 ext cab with 8 ft bed . It has wires for trailer hook up but the plug has been cut off. It looks like it is factory wired in . Any help would be great.

If you have or have access to a test lite or multimeter all you need to do is check each of the cut off wires. Once with the parking lights on once with the left sig on , once with the right signal on and once to determine which one is the ground wire.
It;s quick and easy just make a note of which color wire is for which function and reconnect the replacement plug/wires with shrink butt connectors and you're done.

The blue wire should be the trailer brakes. If it is full electric brakes, you will also need a brake control box. Surge brakes should work without a box.
