1998 Ford F-250 SD won't go into 4 wheel drive
Hi,
I have a 1999 F-250 SD 7.3 with manual hubs and manual transfer case and has 180,000 miles. If I lock in the hubs and leave the transfer case in natural I can turn the front drive shaft but not the front axles. If I unlock the hubs the axles turn some but if I hold one of them it stops and the drive shaft still turns. Something in the front differential seams to have broken. Is there a shear pin that may have sheared? I have not had a chance to open up the front differential and take a look.
Thanks for any advice.
Wayne
