2000 ford f-350 7.3
Hey I'm new to this ford forum but I recently purchased this f350 7.3 diesel and I just got it on the road yesterday and the air bag light was on in the dash and it would ding only when moving as if your seat belt wasn't buckled and wouldn't stop till you stopped moving and I couldn't figure out how to stop it. Then this morning I got in the truck to drive it to work started it up then went to turn on the defroster and instantly the abs light come on which I tought was funny but I got driving down the road ad relized now my speedo stopped working ad my signal lights and now the dinger stopped but I have an and light on and no blinkers and or speedo maybe one of you guys can point me in the rite direction it is a 6 speed manual and it's an Xl no ac or cruise any help would be greatly apriciated
You may need to have someone with a "GOOD" scan tool check this unit. There are quite a few modules that are part of a system and any one of them could be defective and affect the operation and performance of the entire system.
Poor connections can produce unbelievable results. Would you know it the windshield has ever been replaced on this truck? Once replaced for some unknown reason they leak and moisture gets into some of the electrical sections and Pandora's box opens, or maybe the can of worms. That's what it sounds like is happening with your vehicle. It could be something quite simple, but could take a while to find.
Have had more than one vehicle where the SJB (smart junction box) had to be replaced due to corrosion.
This may or may not be the problem here.
