So I have 2005 ford free star an just replaced the transmission. But the ac will get cold when it’s under a load an I never heard the compressor kick on so I replaced the compressor. So know when I start the van it will kick on but won’t anymore after that. Have any suggestions. Please let me know if y’all every had this problem before2005

I don't know how much help I might be , but suppose you help me by telling me everything you did.
I need to know if you skipped anything or did something you should not have.

The more info you can provide the better.
What kind of air conditioning tools do you have to work with? Gauges, vacuum pump etc. If you have gauges , what kind of readings are you getting ?
What was the original problem?
What else did you replace aside from the compressor?

Ok all that I replaced was the ac compressor. Nothing else it sat for a year so I can get the trans fixed. But the vans always been like that since I bought it. When the rpms go up it cools down but like at a red light it will get a little bit warmer. So idk if it’s the relay when I take the relay out an back in the ac clutch will kick on but that’s it. An I used the ac machine at work it 134a machine

Good , that means you evacuated the system before charging and added the correct amount of R134A , right?
Was there some reason you did not replace the accumulator/receiver dryer?

What readings were you getting on the gauges before replacing the compressor and after replacing it?

Need to know as much as possible, because there are so many things that could be causing the problem.

No there was no reason why I didn’t replace those I just thought the compressor was bad because it never kick on. That’s why I replaced it. Should I have replaced them. The gauge were reading normal before an after

When you replaced the compressor did you pump down the system to remove any AIR and MOISTURE that was allowed to get into the system?

If they get in there they can cause the orifice or Expansion valve to freeze up and interfere with cooling performance.
Good practice usually involves replacing the receiver /dryer when the system is opened up . This helps increase the chances of containing any left over moisture.
From your original post, There could be a few things to cause that and that is why we need to know the exact readings you are getting when the system is turned on and calls for max cooling.

Yea I suck all the air out of the system I did it for like 30 minutes. I can’t remember what the gauges said it’s been a few week since I did it. So idk what to do next. What would you recommend me doing.
