Default 2010 ford escape wont start.

Hi, my escape won't start. Checked battery, ok. Checked alternator, ok. Pulled out starter and tested, ok. I noticed traction control light on dash remains on when I turn the key. I can hear the solenoid working but the engine will not turn over. I put vehicle into neutral and turned over motor by hand, all is good there. Couple of weeks ago, the traction control light came on whilst driving and it lost power. Now at start up traction control light remains on and vehicle will not start. Any suggestions please and thank you.

Charles

Hi Charles,
Does your vehicle have an anti-theft system in it?
If so, what is the security light doing ?

Hi, yes it does. It flashes when the car is off.

The simplest thing to try first is to try your other key. You should have two.
