2013 F150 FX4 5.0L V8 6 Gear Transmission Lead Frame
Hello All
Now lets start with the backorder part #19N01 Transmission Lead Frame. I have a 2013 F150 FX4 5.0L V8 with a defective part. Now took it to a ford dealership here in Ottawa Canada and got this news from them. They tried getting the part but unfortunately it is backorder for a long time now. In the meantime I have to drive a vehicle that is fully paid up and risk having a sudden downshift and getting into an accident and maybe injure someone innocent. I have spoken to the service clerk at the ford location where the problem was diagnosed and there is nothing they can do. They did order this part asap but its out of their hands for now. Tried looking up ford's responsibility and transport canada responsibility on this manner putting people at risk of injury or even death and I haven't found anything that would make them responsible for overlooking this critical problem. I phoned my dealership this morning specifying that my truck is dangerous to drive and asking ford to take responsibility of supplying me with a safe vehicle until this critical part shows up. I'm waiting for a response and will let you know the outcome. Good luck to anyone trying to get this part.

Did you try a few different trans shops, they might have that part sitting on a shelf .
I realize that there considerations involved, but sometimes we have to take the bull by the horns and do whatever we need to do so we have a vehicle to use.
When all is said and done, maybe you can negotiate with Ford to obtain some cost sharing. We can't always get everything we would like, but sometimes there is a trade off so we have a safe vehicle to use.
Is this something you would consider so you are not stranded without your vehicle?
