4.6 L v8 3V 2007 Ford Sport trac.
Hello I’m back again. Haven’t found any issues with the wiring on my motor. Or in my dash. My Dash bored on my 07 sport trac v8, only has 130,000 miles on it. And I’m lost for days on this. First off. Everything is either replaced with OEM/ motorcraft parts on it. I mean everything. And I’m still having an issue with my motor. Not really the motor per se. My temp gauge starts to read hot, when I get up past 80 MPH 2500-3000 RPM. And it’ll cool down once I get it back down to 70 MPH-75MPH. The CHT sensor has been replaced . It’s full of coolant. Doesn’t leak anything. But I can sit in traffic just a little bit too long, and it’ll start getting hot. I once, let it get all the way up. Testing it to see if the TEMP light would come on, it never did, so I took off, fan roared it came back down and was fine. ANY ideas what it could be?? I’m at a lost for words because. It’s just not getting hot. No signs. But the dash temp reads getting hot. But I put in my own, coolant temp sensor because my model year 4.6 L v8 doesn’t have a coolant temp sensor. But a ford mechanic told me they did to experiments with both sensors so some models would have a said “coolant temp sensor” and a CHT sensor but I haven’t found one on mine. Just a CHT. So if ANYONE has had the same issue. Please say something lol. Greatly appreciated.
