So I parked my 250 and heard a pop. Sounded like came from top the engine.

Tried to start after that, would turn over but not start. Put on new maf, fuel pump. No difference. I have other things to drive so it remained parked for 6 months.

Go to start and it seems like started is hitting the flywheel. Got new starter and battery, still sounds like starter is smacking something.

I rocked the truck back and forth to try turn flywheel, but that didn't work . I'm going try turn it by hand next. It's really weird all sudden it won't turn over

Motor wouldn't freeze up in 6 months? Has oil in it. Anyone had this

 

What some folks describe as a pop, could be anything. Need to know, did you check the flywheel when you had the starter off ?
