Default Battery Drain

2005 Freestar radio and power windows won't shut down after vehicle has been turned off, even after you are out of the car. Drains battery. Replaced the gem module which didn't repair the problem

It sounds like something is preventing the system from going into the sleep mode which most systems go into once the ignition is turned off. The fastest way to find this problem is with a high end scan tool.

Actually, it sounds like a battery saver relay problem, which is part of the cluster (i believe). I agree with Hanky (i love that name); a scan tool would be the best place to start.

I don't want to get too personal, but I have been called some other names also !!
Not sure if this vehicle incorporates Ford's "Standard Corporate Protocol" which if it does, it can be quite difficult to pin down the exact trouble spot without an up to date scan tool.
