have 94 explorer. head lights went out suddenly,went all the way back to switch replaced it .same problem no lights pushing it in hit sweet spot ,lights work tried old switch same result. but doesn't work all the way out ? any ideai's ?

 

From what you describe, it sounds like you got a bad replacement switch, right out of the box.
