New to forum looking toward to the interaction. Have a 1973 ranchero GT with a 400ci engine and 2v carb. Runs great except at idle in gear slight loping happening and also can smell gas when the car is first started. Seems like its running to rich. Can someone advise?, how to check and adjust the carb.

Just retired, my toy to stay out of wifes way.

Welcome to FordForum..

Is it hard to start after it sits overnight, or after a long hot soak? Long extended cranking time, and seem flooded/rich on the restart? Still have the original Motorcraft carb installed?
