Hello everyone . I'm in need of some advice please.
I bought a 2005 Ford F150 5.4L 3 valve auto, 17 months ago. The motor went in it 11 days after I purchased it. It was throwing numerous codes. Well, we put another motor in it & it's throwing this code: P0012 Intake Camshaft positioning, overly retarded (bank 1). Now it was throwing this code 3 weeks ago & we had a new CamPhaser put in it, cause that's what we was told was wrong with it. $250.00 later, it's still throwing this code! I love my truck! And I'd hate to get rid of it, but it's nickle & diming me to death. Can some one help me please????? Any suggestions on what to do? Thank you

The first question is was the motor an exact replacement or from an identical vehicle?
The other question is did you use a motorcaft replacement Phaser or a cheaper make?
Believe it or not both are critical if non OEM parts were used.
