Default electical problems

My truck has a gremlin and I need advice. When it rains (only when it rains) and I drive my 2000 F-350with a 7.3 motor, the overdrive will turn off (light flashes on the gear shift. The truck will turn off when driving and some times there is a clicking sound coming from the fuse box. There is no water to be seen anywhere in the motor or the fuse box. The overdrive will not reset even when I turn the truck off and back on. Ford has had the vehicle 4 times and have yet to find the problem it has been to 2 other mechanics no luck there either. Over the weekend in the rain the check engine light came on I went to the ford place they hooked it up to check the codes...there was no code thrown but the light was on. Everyone is confused about this vehicle. I have been told to have the windshield changed in case there is some dry rot in the seal. If anyone has a suggestion or has had any similar issues please HELP!
