Default Elephant truck

Hello, my name is Frank, I have a 73 f100 390. I rebuilt the motor 1year ago. I just had a lifter collapse and replaced it, the truck runs great, but when the engine gets hot, it will not restart till the engine cools down. distributor, bat, alternator, starter and starter relay are all new. What could be the problem?

It's always good to start with the basics, when it refuses to start do you have both fuel and spark?

When you say restart, do you mean it will not turn over or it will crank over , but will not start running?
