My 95 Ford F-350 has a 460 v8 and e4od trans. When I shift from forward to reverse and starting out from a stop, the ignition cuts out and in. Not so during acceleration through gears. Any ideas? I am thinking about replacing neutral safety switch.

 

Unless you had some equip to monitor ign supply, It can't hurt to replace that switch, however, if that doesn't correct the problem you might look for any wiring that might have rubbed through due to motor movement when reverse is selected.
