Default Ford engine

hey guys, I am currently restoring a 1979 Ford crew cab short box, it currently has a 351m in it but I have a 390 motor as well, do yous think that the 390 would be a better motor than the 351 for this truck?

Depends on whether you want to keep it all stock and if you have enough room to fit the 390 without too much modification.

Along with Hanky's point on needed life support mods, would be local emmision testing and state requirements,, that may be a problem.. Certainly not a drop in swap. An RV cam wakes up the M fairly nice..
