Hi, I have a 2015 ford f350 I am having trouble with my security system. I have a open door icon lit on my dash when all the doors are closed. As a result if the doors are lock it triggers the alarm & the horn blows at intermittent intervals . The only way to stop this from happening is to unlock the doors & then all the lights associated with the opening of the doors come on & don't go off. Has anyone else experienced such a event ?

 

There are switches in each door (2 doors) yes/no, that tell the security module the door is open or closed. If one of the switches is not working , the module illuminates the light.

The switch completes the ground and if it doesn't ,the sw is defective.. It is activated by the door latch assy.

 

Hi Hanky, All the doors lock/unlock ok manually & electrically, Icon doesn't indicate which door is faulty in the security system. I can't figure out which door is faulty without maybe dismantling each one at a time ????

 

If you open one , just make the ground at the latch, if it goes out ,buy a lottery ticket too.., If not , well we now know don't waste your $$ lol.
