Fuse problem 04 f150 4x4 lariat

Default Fuse problem 04 f150 4x4 lariat

Truck won’t start have to cross over the starter to get it running all of the 5a and 10a are not getting power I was using my test light check and it shows there bad but when I pull them there good???

Hi Shane,

A little FYI, the key needs to be on to supply power to some of the fuses. In any case all fuses should have power with the key on.

What you can do is clamp the grounding clip of the test light to the small terminal of the relay or solenoid on the starter and place the tip of the test light onto a good ground , where you can see the test light from inside the vehicle.. That way when you turn the key to the start position you can see right away if power is getting to that terminal from the ign sw.
If it is an automatic, don.t forget the MLPS , (neutral safety sw)
