thanks for the info. and they furtherest the truck would go would be across town to another mud pit. im working on getting a trailer so if i wanna go long distances i can just trailer it there.

there is alot of things you can do.i raised 79 ford 250 4 inches by doing exactly what i said prior.i made 4 inch blocks out of strong i beam for the rear. in front i added two leafs to each side with shims to roll axle .it was an every day driver on and off road.worked great.i did buy a drop down pitman arm to keep turning the same both ways.i also bought longer u bolts of course, but it is wise to do these mods.

stay away from a body lift .not wort it.you know you can fit 38 inch muders on that truck stock anyway.they just fit.tried it.6 inches is the most you want to go.its also gonna take some motor to turn those big boys.hope your pushing at least 350 horse or more.those big tires like to steal your gear ratio.do you know what gears you have?

4.10s and the manual tranny with granny low.
